as we may learn

accelerating towards human superintelligence

in approximately 3 months it is going to be literally unfathomable that for the entirety of the holocene, knowledge has been transferred in ways other than the best way for each individual to learn. if you were a visual learner and your available learning materials were designed for auditory processors, you were just Out Of Luck. that lowercase-e educators had to choose a metaphor for communicating and idea that worked for the most generalized assumption of cognition, rather than Knowledge being transmuted across planes of understanding in ways that are attuned to each individual

it’s absolutely archaic when you consider how much more personal learning could be. we’re just translating concepts into activations in each other’s latent spaces. morphisms from my brain to your brain

the capital-A Answers were inside us all along: just sitting there in the cosmic collective unconscious residing in each of us, waiting to be discovered. like a new neighborhood in a video game: fogged out on the map until you discover it and realize it was there all along

we're accelerating toward so much right now. we are on the cusp of custom, personalized technology: hallucinated interfaces (opens in new tab) conjured for individuals from collective knowledge. our machines are learning as quickly as we can find graphics cards to place at their altar. but we are on the precipice of human superintelligence too: a never-before-seen revolution in the didactic process, as our intelligent machines learn how to teach us everything we ever dreamt of knowing, as fast as they can navigate our internal, squishy, human neural networks
